In January 2021, Guma submitted an application for Tariff Review to the Sierra Leone Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) according to Section 45 of the EWRC Act 2011.
As part of the process, the Management of Guma on Friday 23rd July 2021 did a presentation on the Tariff application to the Board of EWRC.
The presentation went well and feedback from EWRC Board was positive.
The Chairman of the Guma Board Hon. Bintu Myers and Director Peter Amara were also present at the presentation.
Next step will be a Public Hearing on 5th August 2021 according to Section 45, subsection 3 of the EWRC Act 2011.
The Public Hearing will give members of the public, customers, consumers and other organizations an opportunity to discuss and make their input on the new proposed Tariff.
